A novel two-layer slot array antenna based on substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) technology was designed and simulated. Unlike already reported SIW slot arrays, the present design achieves considerable reduction in size by using a feed waveguide placed underneath the slot array and coupled through slanted slots to branches of the array.
